♥ Jun-kun, please take care of yourself.
I guess in his most recent radio show, he was talking about how he's always getting sick, especially around New Years. Whenever he mentions his health, I always think about his stageplay "Valkyrie" (more about this later). I don't think he's had time off since Hana Yori Dango started filming and that was around September of 2005. Basically, in the span of two years, he had three dramas, a movie where he was the main character, a movie with the rest of Arashi where he had a small role, two or three Japan tours spanning a few months each, one Asia tour (only in Taiwan and South Korea though), two end of the year concerts for Johnny's Jimusho, Dome concerts, two stageplays, three CD releases, and six single releases. He is INCREDIBLY involved in the planning of their concerts. Every single detail kind of has to be accepted by him. Not to mention the fact that they have to spend loads of time rehearsing and traveling. With CD and single releases, he has to do promotion (tv and radio and magazine), film pvs (aka music videos), and record. For dramas, movies, concerts, and stageplays, he also has to do promotions as well as rehearse and stuff. Plus, Arashi has two shows which he has to film every week. I guess my point is, he has a lot to do. Now back to "Valkyrie". He got SEVERELY sick at that time. Like, 100+ fevers, strep throat/flu. It was a really physically challenging stageplay that required a lot of harnessing. It was also really mentally challenging because it was directed by a highly acclaimed stage director. Jun is an incredible perfectionist, and if things don't go right, he always blames himself. When he got sick, he couldn't give his 110%, which further strained himself mentally. He apologized to the audience at the end of every show, even openly crying a few times. About the radio show, he mentioned that whenever he is physically sick, his mental state deteriorates also. He talks about drowning himself in work lately and not being able to stay in contact with his close friends. No one bothered to call him when he got sick, which made him feel even worse: "I'm completely unwanted by others". When I think about that time (even though I didn't even know that he existed then), it just saddens me to know that he pushed himself so much, yet he felt like he let down everyone around him. I think him strenuously over-working himself without showing his fatigue to the fans is one of the main reason why I like him so much. Anyhow, he hasn't had any solo projects since "Bambi~no" ended in June, but he's been immersing himself in planning and preparing for the summer and Dome concerts. Starting January, he has a couple of months of filming for the Hana Yori Dango movie, and it's rumored that he'll be doing yet another drama at the same time.
Yeah, there was no point to that unorganized and way too long post. It was just to show my admiration for him. And I guess to show that being an idol, especially a Johnny's, isn't as easy as everyone thinks it is. Btw, this is the one and only time I've heard him complain. Amazing.
You know, despite all this, he still manages to stay SO fucking pretty. Honestly, it's unfair. It makes me feel like a failure as a girl. >_>
